Nexedi is looking for an engineer (trainee or permanent) to port J. Chroboczek's
babel protocol (rfc6126) to
RINA next generation networking technology.
RINA is a networking technology that unifies all OSI layers through a single
recursive API. It is promoted in particular by John Day (creator of Arpanet) and
by Louis Pouzin (creator of Cyclades, the network technology that later inspired Internet).
Nexedi is willing to experiment with RINA as part of its SlapOS distributed
mesh cloud. We are looking for someone who will implement a subset of the babel
protocol on top of RINA software development kit, using the IRATI implementation
of RINA (more info: irati.eu).

Nexedis' open source software is currently used by corporations (Airbus, Sanef,
Mitsubishi) around the world (France, China, Ethiopia) as well as international
financial institutions. We are primarily developing with Python and JavaScript
and are strictly open-source - even for our daily operations. We follow the
principles of reflexive programming, enforce strict unit testing and emphazise
using the latest web technologies.
Our economic model requires each developer to fulfill R&D objectives aiming
at deliverying short and medium solutions to customer requirements and
progressing the evolution of our software stack. This way we try to be
innovative and fund long term free software without the need for
